In this sense”, they remember in Agremia, “distributors and electrical appliance stores are obliged, for example, to accept the air conditioning device that the buyer delivers to them when he is going to acquire new equipment with similar characteristics”. It is also possible, in those areas of more than 400 square meters, to deliver electrical and electronic equipment of less than 25 centimeters without having to purchase another.<\/p>\n
During 2018, about 270,000 tons of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) were managed in Spain for subsequent recycling. According to data from the United Nations University, consumption habits have caused the recycling of this type of waste to grow at a rate three times higher than that of other solid urban waste (glass, plastic or cardboard).
