ABOUT EL TRAPICHE, VELEZ MÁLAGA
Trapiche, a name to which the article “El” is often prefixed, is a town of 392 inhabitants according to the (INE) in 2012, belonging to the municipality of Velez-Malaga, in the province of Malaga, Andalusia, Spain.
It appeared from 1724, around a mill to which it owes its name. It is a rural nucleus, eminently agricultural, with low houses. The main building is the church of San Isidro, built between 1857 and 1860.
It is an eminently agricultural village located in the north of the municipality of Velez Malaga. Trapiche sits next to the Arco road, which links Velez Malaga with the A-45 highway (Malaga-Antequera).
